PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of estimating a neutral point with high accuracy when a steering wheel is returned, and efficiently returning a steering mechanism. SOLUTION: A neutral point estimation unit 200 comprises a fuzzy inference unit 210 for outputting the neutral point estimation degree C1 related to the steering angular velocityωwith the steering angular velocityωas an input, a fuzzy inference unit 220 for outputting the neutral point estimation degree C2 related to the steering torque T with the steering torque T as an input, and a fuzzy inference unit 240 for outputting the neutral point estimation degree C4 related to the vehicle speed V and the elapsed time t with the vehicle speed V and the elapsed time t as an input. C1 is multiplied by C2, the product is multiplied by C4 to obtain C5 (Cm), and the neutral point estimation degree Cm with higher accuracy is obtained by the repeated operation.
