PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device, capable of suppressing generation of noise through damping the vibration of a driving source. SOLUTION: This color image forming device is provided with an image- forming means, an image carrier holding a latent image formed by the image forming means, plural developing means for developing the latent image into a visible image, a rotating type developing device switching means 8 for successively switching the developing means to a position opposed to the image carrier and positioning them, a transfer image carrier to which the visible image is successively transferred, the driving source 11 for driving the switching means 8, and a driving force transmitting means for transmitting driving force from the driving source 11 to the switching means 8. In the device, the driving force transmitting means is constituted, by including a 1st gear 100 coupled with the driving source 11 and receiving the driving force and a 2nd gear 101, which is arranged coaxially with the gear 100 and transmitting the driving force to the switching means 8, then the gears 100 and 101 are coupled by rubber members (elastic member) 102a and 102b.
