PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deriving an appropriate water ratio from a specific inlet point in a specific position of a water distribution pipe network in the water distribution pipe network equipped with a plurality of inlet points and a device. SOLUTION: A method for deriving the quantity of water from a specific pipe line in the water distribution pipe network having a plurality of inlet points performs hydraulics analysis operations for the water distribution pipe network consisting of a plurality of inlet points, a plurality of pipe lines and a plurality of nodes connecting the inlet points and pipe lines to each other, and a process for obtaining the direction of a water current and the quantity of water in each of the pipe lines and a process obtaining the water ratio in each of the nodes of water making one of the inlet points as the source based on the direction of the water current and the quantity of water are included.
