PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the speed of a tidal current by a floating type tidal current control structure to secure safety of navigation of a small-sized boat entering and leaving a port and further, prevent deterioration of water quality in the port and cope with variation of water depth. SOLUTION: The floating type tidal current control structure 5 is constituted of a floating body 5, a tidal current control barrier 9 provided along the substantially whole length of the floating body 7, and a plurality of mooring means 11 for mooring the floating body 7 to reduce the tidal current speed in the vicinity of the port 6 by the current control barrier 9.
