PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of a level in a boiler which brings about a condition that the operation of the boiler is stopped. SOLUTION: The feed water controller for boiler is provided with an operation controller 3 for controlling the operation of a feed water pump 2 based on a level in the boiler and a flow meter 4 for measuring the amount of conducted water in a feed water pipeline 1. The flow meter 4 inputs the amount of feed water per unit time upon operating the feed water pump as an actual amount of feed water while a value, wherein the amount of blow and the amount of margin are added to the rated amount of evaporation of the boiler, is set in the operation controller 3 as the necessary amount of feed water. The operation controller 3 compares the actual amount of feed water, operated by the flow meter 4, with the necessary amount of feed water, set in the same device 3, and when the actual amount of feed water has become lower than the necessary amount of feed water, the controller 3 outputs the signal of lowering of a feed water capacity.
