PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide concrete blocks for constructing a hydrophilic revetment structure or the like capable of rapidly draining overflow water resulting from overtopping from the crown surface and appropriately reducing the lift force. SOLUTION: The concrete block 1 is constituted of an upper stage part 2 including the top face 8, a lower stage part 3 including the bottom, and a middle stage part 4 positioning between these upper and lower stages. Projections 7 protruding outward are formed at the side faces of the upper stage part 2 and the lower stage part 3. The horizontal sectional area of the middle stage part 4 is made smaller than that of the upper stage part and the lower stage part. In this way, a so-called constriction is defined in the middle stage part 4.
