PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood for a raincoat or coldproof clothing surely preventing penetration of rain and/or wind by firm fitting to a wearer's face and head, and having an improved wear feeling. SOLUTION: This hood for raincoat/coldproof clothing is characterized by being so designed that a string channel is provided along the face opening of the hood body and threaded with a 1st string, which is made adjustable in length at the chin butt part of the hood body, and string flex parts are provided at the left and right temple parts of the hood body, respectively, the ends of a 2nd string are fixed on left and right points above the back of the head of the hood body, respectively, and the 2nd string is bridged in an approximately V-shaped fashion on both sides of the hood body via the flex parts downward of the back of the head so as to be adjustable in length below the back of the head of the hood body.
