PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying apparatus for a work to be surface-treated which can carry and rotate the work in an oscillating manner by a simple mechanism, and easily adjust the line tact of a step. SOLUTION: A hanger 12 is held by a pair of rack rollers 30, and the hanger 12 is rotated in an oscillating manner at an arbitrary timing, e.g. while moving between treating tanks or when the hanger 12 is thrown in or drawn up from the treating tanks. Since a sprocket 28 formed in an oscillation shaft 26 of the hanger 12 is held by a pair of rack rollers 30, the hanger 12 can be opened in the treating tanks. Thus, only the hanger 12 is left in the treating tank as necessary, and other hangers 12 can be carried, and the oscillation timing and the carriage of the hanger 12 can be easily selected, and the line tact of the step can be adjusted.
