PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyesteramide copolymer and an adhesive composition for laminate using it which is useful for adhesion of polyester film for laminate serviceable for metal cans such as beverage cans and is free of compounds suspected of endocrine disturbance action. SOLUTION: This polyesteramide copolymer is characterized in that the constituents of the polyesteramide copolymer in which specific copolyamide components and specific polyester components are combined with ester linkage or amide linkage, at least one end of the molecular chain thus formed continuously is terminated with a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group and the terminal functional group concentration is from 0.1 to 30 mg-KOH/g, includes 10-90 wt.% of the constituents comprising polymerized fatty acid of which the main component is a 20-48C dimer acid derived from natural fatty acid and/or its derivatives.
