PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition satisfying both high curing reactivity at low temperature and a good pot life in the neighborhood of room temperature. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition comprises (a) an amine compound having two or more active hydrogen atoms and (b) a compound expressed by formula (1), where R1 represents an aromatic residue with or without substituted group, R2 represents an alkyl group, R3 and R4 each represents hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, X represents an anion capable of making an acid HX into a strong acid having pKa<=3.
