PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier tape body and a cover tape wherein the change of the peeling strength is less. SOLUTION: This carrier tape body comprises an embossed carrier tape and the cover tape which is heat-sealed to the embossed carrier tape. When the cover tape is peeled, a cohesive failure occurs on the heat-seal layer of the cover tape, and the peeling strength at that time is 0.2 to 1.3 N/mm. Also, the difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the peeling strength is 0.4 N/mm or lower for this carrier tape body.
