PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive power transmission unit, wherein the housing can be coupled and decoupled without any constraint in the processing steps of the coupling and decoupling in the case where a fixed shaft and a rotatably shaft obtainable of its inserted or retracted states are disposed in a mingled way in the housing that forms the transmission unit, and the transmission unit is equipped with a setup preventing parts equipped on the housing from dropping out. SOLUTION: The drive power transmission unit 1 has the housing 1A, one face of which is open and the bottom face of which opposing the open face has a base supporting rotatably a plurality of gears. The setup for receiving and supporting the rotatably shaft 3 that form a rotation transmitting part, apart from the fixed shaft 1B formed integrally with the housing 1A, comprises a stop ring 3A put on the rotatably shaft and a preventing means disposed near the drive power transmission means 8 mounted on the rotatable shaft 3. The preventing means prevents the shaft 3 from traveling in the direction opposite to that of the stop ring 3A and prevents the shaft 3 from moving to. Thus the setup of the unit features preventing the rotating shaft from dropping out regardless of the direction of the open face of the housing 1A.
