PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release preparation comprising an insoluble conjugate of a protein and a polysaccharide, to provide a vaccine, and to provide a method for preparing the sustained-release preparation, extremely simple, applicable to almost all the protein medicaments, capable of being used for preparing many low molecular weight medicaments having protein bonding properties, and giving an excellent sustained-release effect to the formed conjugate. SOLUTION: This sustained-release preparation comprises the insoluble conjugate which is prepared by mixing a medicinal protein solution with an acidic mucopolysaccharide solution. The vaccine comprises the insoluble conjugate which is prepared by dissolving a polymeric substance having vaccinal action in a solution of human serum protein having no medicinal effect, and adding the acidic mucopolysaccharide thereto so that the mixed solution is acidified. The method for preparing the sustained-release preparation comprises mixing a sodium chondroitinsulate solution with a human γ-globulin solution, or with a globulin solution containing a low molecular weight medicinal compound, acidifying the mixture to form the insoluble conjugate, centrifuging the acidified mixture to remove the supernatant, re-suspending the treated mixture in a buffer solution of pH 6-8 so that the insoluble conjugate is changed into fine particles, and freeze-drying the particles. |
