<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying-in-and-out control method for an automated storage and retrieval system capable of reducing the time required for carrying an article out, improving work efficiency, and reducing load applied on a crane by determining a section for carrying the article in to the optimum storage part in the storage and retrieval system. SOLUTION: In the carrying-in-and-out control method in which each storage part 2 in the automated storage and retrieval system 1 is allocated to zones classified by ranks due to long and short duration of the time required for carrying the article out in advance, the zones are retrieved when the article is actually carried into the warehouse, and the storage part 2 in the retrieved zone is determined as a carrying-in storage part 2, zone retrieval is done by adding average stock time to carrying-out number data. Moreover, zone allocation is done by adding average stock number to the time required for carrying- out. Furthermore, if there are a plurality of carrying-in-and-out entrances 4, the number of articles in stock is added in addition to them for zone retrieval.</p> |
