PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem related to assuring quality and reliability for a battery wherein, due to a material constituting the battery, entrance of foreign substance during manufacture, precision in finishing during manufacture and the like, performance degrades related to the foreign substance after electrolyte injection. SOLUTION: An inspection device for a battery comprises a battery, a signal generating part 1 for applying an alternate waveform between electrodes of the battery 2, a first measuring means 5 for measuring the alternate waveform of the signal generating part 1, and a second measuring means 6 for measuring the alternate waveform applied between the electrodes of the battery 2 with DC component cut filters 3 and 4 in between. Here, a battery 2 where a measurement value by the second measuring means 6 provides a power loss equal to a specified value or above against a measurement value by the first measuring means 5 is judged to be a defective product, providing a high quality battery.
