SYNTHESIS OF DIACYL PEROXIDE IN APROTIC SOLVENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for safely and economically synthesizing a diacyl peroxide in an aprotic solvent in a high yield by using a stable and readily handleable oxidizing agent. SOLUTION: An acyl halide is brought into contact with a peroxide composition material in a compatible aprotic solvent substantially not containing a compound to be oxidized with the peroxide composition material or a reaction product between an organic acyl halide and the peroxide composition material.
