PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a head part-protective device for a passenger in an automobile to make it exhibit less offensiveness and used even in an open vehicle. SOLUTION: A gas bag 3 is constituted as a plural chamber type gas bag by seam parts 13, 14 for fixing respective wall areas of the gas bag each other so as to have thereby partial chambers connected vertically, the chambers is constituted to make the gas bag formed into a substantial L-shape in an expanded condition by the chamber 10 extended substantially horizontally along a shoulder of the passenger 1 to be positioned in a lower side, and by at least the one chamber out of the other chambers 11, 12 upright vertically with respect to the chamber 10 and extended upwards along a neck part and a head area of the passenger 1, gas for inflating the gas bag is supplied to the up right chammber 11, and the chambers 10, 11 are supported each other in the inflated condition.
