PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity carrying device allowing good discrimination of commodities overlapping one another in a carriage path or out of spec and the supply of the commodities in a proper condition. SOLUTION: The commodity carrying device comprises a commodity supply mechanism D for delivering the commodities W being kept in order after charged, a commodity carrying mechanism B provided downstream from the commodity supply mechanism D for carrying the supplied commodities W in order, a commodity carry-in mechanism provided downstream from the commodity carrying mechanism B for receiving the commodities W, wherein a commodity discriminating mechanism F is provided on the way of the carriage path on the commodity carrying mechanism B for detecting that the height of commodities W exceeds a proper height when the commodities W are carried overlapping one another or carried with their thickness out of spec.
