PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for further improving the sealing of a conveyor belt at its lower face. SOLUTION: The device for sealing the endlessly circulating coveyor belt, formed of a magnetizable material, particularly steel, at its side edge region against a liquid heat medium or a gas heat medium operating on the reverse of the belt in a region of a temperature control section including at least one sealer arrangement existing at the height of each side edge region and continuously ranging over at least the length of temperature control section comprises at least one magnet unit 8 assigned in the sealer arrangement 7 for 1 applying uniform attraction force to the coveyor belt 1 over the total length of the sealer arrangement 7.
