摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current flaw detection method in which the flaw detection accuracy can be enhanced by discriminating the component of a detection signal caused by the flaw of a member to be measured strictly from the component caused by noise. SOLUTION: Assuming that signals As,θs detected with a standard comparison type probe having a relatively high sensitivity to the deformation of a member to be measured are entirely caused by deformation of a member to be measured, the quantity of deformation D is assumed based on the detection signals As,θs. The assumption is verified by comparing theoretical detection signals A'f,θ'f corresponding to the quantity of deformation D with detection signals As,θs obtained by measuring the member actually through a self comparison type probe having a relatively high sensitivity to the flaw and then a discrimination is made between the flaw and noise.
