PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for an external facing material promoting waterproofing property, workability or the like without shakiness after work is finished and also having a snow step function. SOLUTION: The mounting structure is constituted of the plate-like external facing material A and a waterproofing and snow step device X consisting of a horizontal back batten section 15, an upper piece 18 projected by bending the upper end edge of the back batten section 15 upward, a supporting piece 19 projecting the front end of the upper piece 18 inward, a supporting groove 20 formed of the upper piece 18 and supporting piece 19 and a snow step piece 21 projecting the front end of the supporting piece 19 upward, and the mounting structure of the external facing material A is so constituted that the waterproofing and snow step device X is fixed to the rear of a joint sectionγof both right and left connecting sections of the external facing material A.
