PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing broadcasting advertisement information are provided to receive broadcasting advertisements from broadcasting channels to extract only sound data of the advertisements, find a channel corresponding to the sound data to record advertisement-related information of the channel in a database and instantaneously offer a user the information stored in the database when a client terminal requests the information. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing broadcasting advertisement information includes an advertisement sound database(104), a sound analysis module(102) and a controller(103). The advertisement sound database stores and manages broadcasting advertisement-related information on the basis of sound data. The sound analysis module extracts only sound data of the broadcasting advertisement currently being received from a broadcasting reception module(101). The controller accepts the extracted sound data, compares it with the sound data stored in the database to find out what the extracted sound data is, and looks for a channel and program name of the extracted sound data from a broadcasting information database(105) recording various broadcasting information to record them in a broadcasting advertisement database(106).
