PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration analyzer, with which a component in a trace amount contained in water, is monitored directly and continuously. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution in a sample cell 1 is irradiated with an infrared pulse laser beam. Plasma light is generated in the aqueous solution. The plasma light is made incident on a spectroscope 40, whose central wavelength is set near the spectrum wavelength of an element to be analyzed. By the spectroscope 40, the plasma light is separated into the emission spectral line of the element to be analyzed and a spectrum in a wavelength range which does not contain the spectral line. By keeping the delay time from the irradiation time of a laser beam 3 through the use of an opening and shutting mechanism 7 arranged at the front of a light-intensity measuring device 8, the intensity of the emission spectral line of the element to be analyzed and a light intensity in the wavelength range which does not contain the spectral line are measured by the light-intensity measuring device 8 to be converted into an electrical signal. The signal intensity, which corresponds to the light intensity of the emission spectral line of the element to be analyzed, is divided by a signal intensity which corresponds to the light intensity, in the wavelength range which does not contain the spectral line of the element to be analyzed. On the basis of its divided value, the concentration of the element, to be analyzed, in the aqueous solution is found.
