摘要 PURPOSE: An anti-rotation mechanism for high pressure fuel supply pipe in common rail fuel system is provided to prevent a circular cross-sectional fuel pipe from undesired rotation in an engine cylinder by a key-key slot combination having a relatively small radial dimension. CONSTITUTION: In combination with an engine cylinder head, a fuel injector is extended through the cylinder head, and a fuel supply means is located within the cylinder head for supplying pressurized fuel to the injector. The fuel supply means comprises a high-pressure fuel pipe(10), and means preventing rotary movement of the fuel pipe. The rotation-prevention means comprises a sleeve(38) press-fit into the cylinder head, and a key carried by the fuel pipe. The sleeve has an axial slot(40), and the key is extended from the fuel pipe into the slot to prevent rotation of the pipe within the sleeve.
