PURPOSE: To provide a diagnostic system which enables a patient to have simple clinical consultation or medical treatment freely anytime not at a hospital. CONSTITUTION: This system includes a terminal T and a server S which are connected by a network N. A user picks up an image of a specific position of the body by an image pickup device C connected to the terminal T and sends obtained image data to the server S through the network. The server S compares the received image data with unillustrated reference data that the server S has and automatically diagnoses the health state, etc., of the user to generate diagnostic data. The diagnostic data are the same as the diagnostic result that a doctor tells to the patient, and consequently the automatic diagnosis is actualized.
