PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal element with good display quality. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal element which has a liquid crystal held between a pair of substrates and has a pixel electrode, common electrode, signal wiring electrode and scanning wiring electrode on at least one substrate of the substrates, and in which a voltage is applied between the pixel electrode and the common electrode to change the arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules, a conductive material to collect ions is formed on the both substrates so that the potential except for the gate is exposed and ions locally present in the gate potential part are diffused to another exposed part of potential and deionized. Thus, a liquid crystal element having good display quality without display irregularity can be obtained. |
