PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing machine, capable of easily setting even a complicated test control pattern and performing correct setting, without making setting mistakes. SOLUTION: The material testing machine is provided with an input means (mouse 28b) for displaying coordinates at which a load axis and a distortion axis or displacement axis intersect time axis on the screen of a display 27 and to draw the image of a graph which represents the relations of time-load, time-distortion, and time-displacement on the coordinates system. By controlling a drive device 14 according to the inputted graph at a control part 25, setting becomes simpler than a conventional testing machine in which a test control pattern is set by a programming wok, and it is possible to easily judge setting mistakes prior to the test.
