PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cock that dispenses with a special tool for operating a lock pin 17 and is easy to work on, in a type where a locking position establishes engagement with an engaging portion formed in a gas cock body 11 to block turning movement of an operating handle 15 for cock opening and closing from an opening position or a closing position, and an unlocking position forces the engaging portion into a recess portion 10 formed in the lock pin 17 to permit turning movement of the operating handle 15. SOLUTION: The lock pin 17 in the locking position is mounted with a movable abutting element 61. When separably engaged with a peripheral engaging portion of the lock pin 17 in the locking position, the abutting element 61 abuts a component wall of the operating handle 15 in a direction to push forward the lock pin 17.
