PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a hermetic casing of hermetic compressor becomes to be sphere shape for high pressure use, so a flat face 2 around a closed terminal 7 is considerably lessed than before, therefore a gasket 4 tends to move when mounting a terminal cover 5, this causes a clearance between gasket 4 and the casing 1 allowing water infiltration. SOLUTION: Deviation from the place on installing the terminal cover can be prevented and rainwater can be prevented from entering by preparing a projecting rib 4 (a) on a gasket 4 covering around the enclosed terminal.
