摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an on-vehicle internal combustion engine, capable of improving braking performance while inhibiting the increase of fuel consumption even when an inlet pressure becomes a value closer to the atmospheric pressure than a required value for the operation of a brake booster. SOLUTION: The control device comprises the brake booster 50 for generating assisting force in accordance with the inner pressure of the booster in which the inlet pressure is accumulated and a throttle motor 24 for changing the inlet pressure. The motor 24 is controlled so that, during releasing an acceleration pedal 25, the inlet pressure becomes a value closer to a vacuum than an inlet pressure in the state of footing the pedal 25. A short time up to keeping the inner pressure of the booster is required, because the inlet pressure is changed to the value closer to the vacuum during releasing the acceleration pedal 25. Pumping loss is reduced because the inlet pressure is decreased only when the inner pressure of the booster should be kept.
