PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden mattress formed of fewer wooden members so that many stones can be filled in the inside. SOLUTION: Four kinds of frame bodies are used for the wooden mattress. An A-type of frame body is provided with fences at the four sides of the foundation frame, a B type of the frame bodies has fences at only three sides of the frame and one of them is open, a C type of the frame bodies has fences at the continuous two sides and two sides of the rest are open, and a D type of the frame bodies has fences at only three sides and one of them is open. When these frame bodies are disposed on the bottom of a river, the A-type frame body A1 is installed at the furthermost end, and the B type frame body B1 is disposed adjacent to the A type frame, directing the open side to the frame body A1. A frame body B2 having the same type is disposed. The frame bodies B3, B4,... of the B type are put in sequence to form a first row. The frame body D1 of the D type is arranged adjacent to the A-type in a second row. Subsequently, the frame body C1 of the C type is arranged so as to get into contact with D1 and B1. Further, the frame body C2 of the C type is installed so as to touch C1 and B2. In the same way, C3, C4,... are installed in turns.
