PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of any step at a joint of guide rails 1 and 2 of an elevator. SOLUTION: Generation of any step is prevented by making a tap hole in the joint of the guide rails 1 and 2, screwing a bolt 11 with an adhesive applied there to threaded portion 12 thereof in this tap hole, removing a portion of the bolt 11 which is protruded from guide parts 1b and 2b of the guide rails, and finishing the joint to be flush using a rail file.
