PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pump which can automatically suck water and can be used for forced circulation by connecting it to a pump conduit having several bends. SOLUTION: An electric pump comprises a casing in which an impeller is arranged, a casing cover 12 which is arranged at a front face of the casing via a partition plate 11 and a packing and is formed by a neighboring discharge passage 16 and a separation plate 22 separating a suction passage 15 radially elongating from a suction port of the impeller with a constant sectional area, and a drive motor for driving the impeller, wherein the separation plate 22 is provided with a return flow passage 20 formed at a position of a front face of a flow coming in through the suction passage 15, an end part of the separation plate 22 at a discharge port side is bent toward a discharge port 14, and the casing cover 12 is provided with a projecting part 23 at the position opposed to the return flow passage 20.
