PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress leakage of nonsolvent polystyrene sulfonic acid from a condensate desalting device to a steam generator at a stage preceded by a condensate desalting device due to deterioration of especially cation exchange resin, and to prevent the occurrence of a trouble to the steam generator. SOLUTION: At normal times, desalting treatment is effected by a condensate desalting device filled with the ion exchange resin, after condensate is filtered by a condensate filtering device. When the ion exchange resin reaches an exchange timing, the condensate is filtered by the condensate filtering device, after desalting treatment of the condensate is effected by the condensate desalting device during a lapse of a time ending with the exchange of the ion exchange resin.
