<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform chemical recycling of polyethylene terephthalate(PET) and to obtain a polyurethane adhesive. SOLUTION: PET is decomposed by reacting with a low-molecular polyol. A decomposed material thereby is subjected to a condensation reaction with a polybasic acid to form a polyester polyol (regenerated polyester polyol). A polyurethane resin is prepared by reacting a hydroxy group-containing compound comprising the regenerated polyester polyol and an organic diisocyanate, or by reacting a hydroxy group-containing compound comprising the regenerated polyester polyol and an organic diisocyanate to synthesize an isocyanate end group-containing prepolymer and subjecting the prepolymer to a chain extension reaction using a low-molecular-weight, active-hydrogen-containing compound. Such a polyurethane resin is contained in the objective adhesive.</p> |
