PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently supplying powder toner to the developing part of an image forming apparatus from a toner housing container, having a reducible volume filled with the powder toner. SOLUTION: The container, made of a flexible material with the volume reducible by >=60%, is filled with the powder toner, and the toner housed in the container is sucked and transported with air flow by a suction pump and introduced into the developing part of the image forming apparatus. In this process, the powder toner used is composed of color mother particles and external additives and satisfies a relation between the color mother particles and external additives expressed byΣ(χi.D.ρt)/(4di.ρai)>5, whereχi is the amount of the external additive (pts.wt.) when the weight of the color mother particles is 100, D is the particle diameter of the color mother particles,ρt is the absolute specific gravity of the color mother particles, di is the particle diameter of the external additive andρai is the absolute specific gravity of the external additive.
