PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling guide unit capable of easily adjusting a preload amount to keep a predetermined preload without preparing many kinds of rolling bodies with different diameters. SOLUTION: This rolling guide unit comprises a first slide unit 1 having mutually facing wall parts 2, and a second slide unit 3 mounted on the first slide unit 1 capable of linearly moving relatively to the first slide unit 1 through a plurality of rolling bodies 8 mounted between the second slide unit and the wall parts 2 of the first slide unit 1. The inner surface between the wall parts 2 of the first slide unit 1 is machined to remove residual stress on the inner surface, thereby adjusting the preload on the rolling bodies 8. |
