PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe jacking system and a pipe jacking method, by which branched pipe jacking is conducted comfortably. SOLUTION: The pipe jacking section 341 of a branched machine is fixed at the rear section of a skin plate 220 for a slave shield machine 200, and the pipe jacking section 341 is moved up to a starting section 130 as a part of a skin plate 120 for a master shield machine 100 at a branched starting spot by using the propulsive force of a shield jack 110 used for the pipe jacking of the slave shield machine 200 and the branched machine is started.
