PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing taxation/accounting services are provided to serve a consulting service to a client by allowing the client to access own taxation/accounting data through a common network. CONSTITUTION: A system(100) for providing taxation/accounting services is comprised of a server(102) and first to M region terminals(1061-106m). The server(102) is connected with the terminals(1061-106m) through a private network. The server(102) and the terminals(1061-106m) are operated by a person responsible to a corresponding region. The person accesses taxation/accounting data of a client stored in a central database(108) through one of the terminals(1061-106m) and the server(102), updates and outputs it. First to N terminals(1041-104n) for the person, which are located in a position where the server(102) is installed, are connected with the server(102). The server(102) is connected with a plurality of client terminals(2001-200l) through the Internet and handles all kinds of requests of the clients. The server(102) provides to the client services of taxation/accounting data updating, retrieval and outputting, tax-affairs reporting, and consulting according to the request of the client.
