PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing deformed strip and polishing the surface of scratched roll is provided in which cutting and removing of deformed strip and polishing of the roll surface are performed automatically or by remote controlling when mis-operation such as twist or fracture is happened during the rolling operation of a strip. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for removing deformed strip and polishing the surface of scratched roll comprises a position control part equipped with a second cylinder(128) for controlling positions of all directions, a third cylinder(134) for controlling positions in a width direction, and a fourth cylinder(158) for controlling a degree of leveling; a strip cutting part equipped with a screw shaft which is rotationally mounted on supporting blocks of a clip base(210) and receives rotational power from a sixth driving motor, and a torch(228) which rotates a transfer arm through the medium of a seventh driving motor and is ignited by an ignition plug; a clipper part equipped with a clipper(236) which is formed on the lower part of the clip base(210) and a lower clipper(238) which is paired with the clipper(236), rotationally mounted on the clip base(210), and receives rotation power by a fifth cylinder; a grinding part equipped with a magnet(264) which is mounted on the clip base(210) so that rotation power is supplied to the magnet(264) from a ninth driving motor(262); and a control part for supplying and controlling electricity to the driving motors and the cylinders.
