<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems with prior art that a large-sized drain pan and drain piping are required for receiving condensed water adhering to and dropping from a heat exchanger upon cooling operation, and places to install such constituent members are limited, and further it is wasteful in view of energy because latent heat possessed by drain water is abondoned. SOLUTION: Once a container 6 is full of condensed water during cooling operation of an ordinary mode in which a compressor 18 is driven, the operation moves to a water sprinkling cooling mode to interrupt the compressor 18 and drive a pump 17. Cold condensed water is forcedly fed to a water communication tube 13 and is sprayed to fins 11 of a heat exchanger 5 through a nozzle. Air sent to an air fan 4 is cooled by re-vaporizing the condensed water to subject the same to latent heat exchange.</p> |
