PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid thermosetting resin composition having good impregnating ability into an insulating coil or the like for a high voltage rotating machine, suppressing viscosity increase even exposed for a long time under high temperature, and affording cured material having excellent thermal- resistant, electric insulating and mechanical properties. SOLUTION: This liquid thermosetting resin composition comprises an alicyclic epoxy resin, at least an epoxy resin selected from the group consisting of aromatic epoxy resins and heterocyclic epoxy resins and a cationic curing catalyst.
