PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording medium reduced in the generation of a curl even if used in a heating and clooling repeating state and capable of performing stable printing and erasure and a support for supporting a film having curling properties (thermal recording layer). SOLUTION: The support 6 consisting of first and second layers 4, 5, which are integrated with the film 3 having curling properties comprising a reversible thermal recording layer 1 and a protective layer 2 and generating curl-like strain by repetition of a temperature change, is provided and the thicknesses t1 and t2 of the layers 4 and 5 are set to t1<t2 to obtain the support 6 adjusted so as to correct the film 3 having curling properties to a flat sheetlike shape free from strain and a reversible thermal recording medium 7. The elongations α1, δ2 of the first and second layers are set to α1<α2 and the heat shrinkage factors β1, β2 of them are set to β1<β2 to adjust the film 3 so as to correct the same to a flat sheetlike shape free from strain. |
