PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a transmission gear head so as to simplify a secure centering assembly of a cutting tool. SOLUTION: This transmission gear head for a hand carry operation tool driven by a power, especially a bush cutter is equipped with a tool shaft 1 for housing a rotatable cutting tool 2. A part 3 of the tool shaft 1 is formed as a cylindrical spline shaft 4 having a keyway 5 to transmit a torque to the cutting tool 2 in a shape supplementing manner. A supporting plate 6 is arranged on the tool shaft 1 and the supporting plate is equipped with a supporting face 8 for the cutting tool 2 approximately at a right angle to a vertical axis line 7 of the tool shaft 1. A centering cylindrical body 10 is passed through a circular hole 9 at the center of the cutting tool 2. The centering cylindrical body 10 is equipped with a rib 11 in the longitudinal direction, which is engaged with the keyway 5 of the spline shaft 4 and arranged inside the centering cylindrical body. A free end 12 of the centering cylindrical body is provided with a slope 13 and the slope is extended from an outside contour part of the centering cylindrical body 10 to the inside of the keyway 5.
