<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a double-layer core with a thin outer layer having even thickness with high productivity and to provide a multipiece solid golf ball having excellent repulsive performance and durability. SOLUTION: This multipiece solid golf ball is constituted of a core 4 consisting of an inner layer core 1 and an outer layer core 2 and a cover 3 coating the core. The manufacturing method for the multipiece solid golf ball includes (a) a spherical inner layer core 1 forming process (b), a core forming process, in which an outer layer core composition and the inner layer core are put inside a cavity of a drag in a core molding die having the semispherical cavity with a diameter equal to that of the core, the inner layer core is rotated inside the cavity for sticking the outer layer core composition around the inner layer core, and hot pressing is carried out between a cope and the drag for forming the core 4 of a double-layer structure, and (c) a core coating process for coating the core with the cover 3.</p> |
