PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of continuous production of a highly water absorptive sheelike composite bearing high-water-absorptive resin particles uniformly. SOLUTION: The highly water absorptive sheetlike composite is manufactured through a precoating process of filling a precoat liquid in bulky web by applying the precoat liquid on the bulky web having an apparent density of 0.1 g/cm3 or less, a slurry coating process of making the bulky web contain a highly water absorptive resin containing slurry by applying the slurry on the bulky web filled with the precoat liquid and a liquid-removing and drying process of subjecting the bulky web containing the slurry to liquid-removing and drying treatments.
