PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast ingot prepared for manufacturing Fe-Ni system alloy sheet that can suppress abnormal wear of rolling rolls in cold rolling, keeping the etching characteristics and cost at worst at the same level as those of the conventional Fe-Ni alloy sheet and a manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: (1) An electroslag remelted cast ingot or material plastically worked from the ingot prepared for producing Fe-Ni system alloy sheet having non-metallic inclusions with its Mg0 content controlled not to exceed mass%. (2) A cast ingot is produced by electro-slag remelting method using slag containing 5 to 30 mass% CaO and the rest main composition(s) is/are one or two species from CaF2 and Al2O3.
