PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool to prevent objects stored on a shelf board from falling or toppling from an opening side of the storage shelf with posts located at four corners. SOLUTION: The tool to prevent falling is made of a pair of holders 15, 15 consisting of a front holder and a back one, a controlling bar 16 the front end and the back end of which are supported by both holders 15, and a stopper 17 which prevents the controlling bar 16 from falling off. The holder contains an U-shaped attaching part 18 and a receiving part 19 for a bar, which catches the controlling bar 16. Retaining holes 8 to join a receiving instrument 12 for a shelf are provided vertically on posts 1, 2. The holders 15 are attached to the posts 1, 2 found in the front and the back of the shelf, using the retaining hole 8. A dented groove 25 is formed on a receiving part 19 for a bar located on each holder 15, 15. After the controlling bar 16 is put into the dented groove 25, the stopper 17 is fit onto the receiving part 19.
