PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cushion material for cushion members for beds, mattresses for beds, floor cushions, seat cushions of wheelchairs, and backrest mats for seats of automobiles. SOLUTION: A hot melt synthetic resin filament is extruded into the air from each of nozzles arranged at prescribed intervals. The filaments are freely mutually coiled vertically and laterally due to their adhesivity, the action of their gravity and other physical and chemical actions and solidified at their coiled state. A prescribed number of cup-shaped filament bulges are formed in the lateral direction at prescribed intervals and these bulges are mutually connected through laterally running filaments running left and right and also through longitudinally running filaments running front and rear, and thus the cup shaped bulges are connected and bulged laterally left and right and longitudinally front and rear at prescribed intervals.
