PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processed Helianthus tuberosus product which is effective for diabetes and complications thereof and can easily be taken. SOLUTION: This processed Helianthus tuberosus product characterized by adding natural oily vitamin E to the Helianthus tuberosus containing water-soluble inulin in a large amount. In order to simultaneously and more surely take the oily vitamin E together with the Helianthus tuberosus, the Helianthus tuberosus is preferably pulverized, mixed with a small amount of the oily vitamin E, and then tableted. The tablets are preferably obtained by slicing the Helianthus tuberosus, drying the sliced Helianthus tuberosus with hot air (in a process 13), pulverizing the dried slices into the powder in a process 14, adding citric acid to the powder in a process 15, adding the natural vitamin E to the mixture in an amount of about 0.03 wt.%, adding an excipient to the mixture in a process 16, and then tableting the mixture into the tablets in a process 17. On the addition of the natural vitamin E in an amount of about 0.03 wt.%, the pulverized Helianthus tuberosus can be mixed the natural vitamin E without separating the natural vitamin E. Thereby, the processed Helianthus tuberosus product can be provided. Therein, the Helianthus tuberosus (inulin) and the vitamin E can simultaneously be taken to give the synergistic effects, and the processed Helianthus tuberosus product can easily be taken in a desired amount at a proper place, because of being the tablets effective for the diabetes and the complications. |
